Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open is underway after a two-hour
fog delay forced competitors to wait to get their season back up-and-running at
The Renaissance Golf Club, North Berwick.
Despite being up at 3.25am to prepare for her round, The Race to Costa Del Sol leader Julia Engstrom, started her day with a birdie on the par 4 first hole, only to be outdone by Spain’s Azahara Munoz. Paired with Julia in the first group, The Solheim Cup went one better, holing her second shot with a seven-iron from 148 yards for an eagle, to quickly assume her position atop the leaderboard.
