ISSF President Vladimir Lisin met with ISSF Member Federations from Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. For the first time the meetings were held in a similar format, separately for each continent, in order to increase the efficiency of interaction.
Secretary General Alexander Ratner informed the participants of the video meetings on activities of ISSF management in 2020 and spoke about the coordination of ISSF with the relevant international organizations responsible for holding the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World University Games, Mediterranean Games, Pan American Games, European Games, and African Games.
In addition, he announced updates to the calendar for 2021 which were coordinated with the Organizing Committees, and the approval by the Executive Committee of the ISSF Championships calendar for 2022.
The National Federations were announced the Council decision to cancel the ISSF membership fees for 2021.
During the discussions in which Presidents of the Continental Confederations took part an emphasis was placed on the implementation of the Development Fund programs which stimulates development of the shooting sport on the national level. Those programs provide an opportunity to receive support for the Member Federations’ activities including education of coaches according to the new format: all learning materials are available online on the ISSF website which allows get knowledge without necessity to attend courses abroad.
The meetings’ participants discussed the measures necessary for the further development of Shooting on the continents including the creation of the appropriate infrastructure. With this regard a possible new format of a shooting range built with minimization of costs was shown.
